Complete interiors and individual components
Restore the Character of Your Classic Car Interior
A well-executed interior makes a classic vehicle feel complete. Faded seats, flattened padding, damaged door panels, worn carpeting and an aging headliner can distract from an otherwise outstanding build. We handle automotive upholstery and interior trim, coordinating colors, textures and patterns so the components belong together.
Complete Interior Restoration
Coordinated projects involving front and rear seats, upholstered panels, carpeting, headliners and interior trim, planned around the vehicle’s condition and the owner’s goals.
Classic Seat Upholstery & Rebuilding
Bench seats, bucket seats, cushions, foam, padding, bolsters, stitching, piping, upholstery patterns and compatible seat support or frame repairs.
Door Panels & Custom Trim
Door cards, quarter panels, armrests, kick panels, consoles, dashboard upholstery and hand-fitted trim using appropriate automotive materials.
Headliners & Interior Roof Trim
Classic headliner replacement, fitted fabric, roof trim and related upholstery for cars and trucks with different roof configurations.
Carpet, Padding & Sound Deadening
Interior carpet replacement, floor and cargo-area trimming, suitable padding and optional sound-deadening materials as part of a larger project.
One-of-a-Kind Custom Upholstery
Custom colors, contrast stitching, piping or welt, tailored inserts and personalized finishes for hot rods, lowriders and restomod interiors.
Restoration choices
Factory-Original, Original-Style or Fully Custom?
Factory-original restoration: When appropriate original materials, trim pieces or correct reproductions are available, our team can work toward the vehicle’s factory appearance and details.
Original-style restoration: Preserve the classic look using compatible modern materials, thoughtful matching and period-inspired patterns where exact originals are unavailable.
Custom interior: Choose an entirely different direction with updated colors, textures, stitching, seating and trim details suited to the rest of your build.
Our approach: We will discuss originality, appearance, usability and budget before recommending materials. Exact factory matches and material availability vary by year, make and model.

Classic Bench Seat Restoration & Original-Style Upholstery Patterns
Classic car seat upholstery often involves more than replacing the outer covering. Worn bench seats and vintage bucket seats may need padding, spring and support evaluation, careful pattern work, and fabrics or vinyl selected to suit the vehicle’s era.
Vintage Bench & Bucket Seats
Review worn cushions, seat support, foam, springs, upholstery seams and panel shapes. Where suitable, rebuild comfort while retaining the seat’s intended classic proportions and appearance.
Reproducing Old Patterns
Discuss pleats, stitched inserts, contrasting piping, welt, panel dimensions and period-inspired layouts. Exact original patterns and factory-correct materials depend on the vehicle and available references.
Preservation or Customization
Choose sympathetic restoration of surviving trim, original-style replacements or a custom interior for a hot rod, restomod or collector car. We help weigh appearance, comfort and usable material options.
For originality-focused projects, photographs, surviving seat covers, trim samples and vehicle details can help guide material and pattern choices. We cannot promise an exact factory match when original materials are unavailable.
Experience behind the stitching
Craftsmanship Built on Years of Classic Interior Work
Fine Line is led by Hector, with Rich and lead upholsterer Rudy bringing extensive hands-on craftsmanship. All three previously worked at Mr. Sid’s Fine Auto & RV Upholstery; Rudy has approximately 40 years of upholstery experience. Their combined background informs the attention to patterns, fit, material selection and finish that vintage interiors require.
Whether the goal is a factory-inspired muscle-car interior or a one-of-a-kind hot rod, we discuss what can be retained, what should be rebuilt and which details matter most to your project. Convertible roof and top work is covered on our dedicated service page.

Classic Car Projects, Restored Interiors & Custom Upholstery
These photographs from Hector’s project collections show the range of classic-car interiors and custom details the team has worked with. They include restoration-stage materials and completed upholstery finishes.

Custom Trim That Completes a Build
Classic projects can extend beyond the seats. Coordinated trunk panels, side panels, carpeting, headliners and upholstered details help the entire interior feel intentional.
For lowriders, hot rods and restomods, our team can discuss distinctive finishes, colors and patterns that suit the character of the vehicle.
Classic Bench Seat Upholstery: Worn Materials & Finished Craftsmanship
Classic bench seats may require new upholstery, repaired support and padding, and carefully fitted material panels. The photographs below show restoration-stage seating alongside examples of finished custom upholstery. The views are not identified here as confirmed before-and-after photos of the same seat.

Details That Change the Finished Look
Fabric inserts, vinyl or leather-look bolsters, carefully placed piping, pleats and stitching can help a classic seat feel true to its era—or give it a distinctive custom style.
Ask us about repair versus recovering, the condition of your seat foam and frames, and ways to coordinate your seats with door panels, carpeting and headliners.
Photographs are supplied from Hector’s and Pamela’s project collections, including earlier team work. We describe visible materials and details without assuming that different photographs show the same vehicle.

Interior Work That Complements Your Restoration
Fine Line focuses on upholstery and automotive interior trim, not an advertised full mechanical or body-and-paint restoration service. If your vehicle is being rebuilt elsewhere, contact us early enough to coordinate interior materials, component readiness and installation timing.
Materials and craftsmanship
Leather, Vinyl, Fabric, Foam, Stitching & Interior Trim
Our work may involve automotive leather, leatherette, vinyl, woven fabric, suede-like finishes, foam, piping, welt, decorative stitching, panel coverings and carpeting. Selecting the right material matters as much as choosing the color: it should suit the vehicle, the intended use and the desired appearance.
Original-style projects may call for restrained textures and period-inspired patterns. Custom builds may use two-tone designs, distinctive seams, special inserts or modern finishes. We discuss realistic options based on the materials currently available.

Seat Upholstery, Stitching & Custom Interior Details
A well-finished classic interior is built from small decisions: seat shape, panel alignment, stitching, textures and how new upholstery complements the rest of the vehicle.
